Eligibility
-Must be a resident of the U.S. , 21 or older -Possess strong communication skills and high enthusiasm for mentoring young artists -Have experience in developing and instructing innovative and interdisciplinary art curriculums for high school students -Though not limited to, has several years of practicing and teaching the following mediums; painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, design, crafts, printmaking, photography

Program Description
ART 180 is seeking a resident teaching artist to champion the third year of its summer artist residency program. This is a unique summer residency awarding one professional artist and one assistant artist a 120-day residency to develop and deepen their artistic practices while educating ten young aspiring artists from Richmond, VA, ages 14-19. The artists selected as the Atlas Artist Residency teaching artist and assistant will work closely with ART 180’s staff and community partners to provide young artists with practices in artist development, health and wellness, and entrepreneurship twice a week for eight weeks from June through August. At the end of the program, the teaching artist, assistant, and youth artists will showcase their processes and final projects in an exhibition on Friday, August 4, 2023, at ART 180’s Atlas Studio and Gallery located at 114. W. Marshall St. Richmond, VA.
