Arnis Residency 2018

Arnis Residency

No Funding
Free / No Costs
Arnis, Germany

Eligibility

Arnis Residency is taking place on a small peninsula located in the rustic North-Eastern part of Germany. Interested artists should propose a site-specific project dealing with Arnis economic, socio-political or geographical conditions. The residency will culminate in a public event spread across different locations in Arnis. Applicants are invited to submit a brief description of a work they would like to finalise and show during the period of their residency. Due to the short stay, we encourage existing projects and lines of research that can somehow be linked to the site, however, we also welcome feasible new engagements. To apply - please provide a short description of your work and what you plan to do during the residency, along with a short CV and images of past work or a website address. Further information about Arnis and the residency on www.ramosluebbert.com Applications must be sent to ramosluebbert@gmail.com

Program Description

Arnis Residency offers food allowance, accommodation in an individual room, space for working (shared desk or/and the space of a sailing boat) and a very small production budget. Travel expenses to Arnis are expected to be covered by the artist. ramoslübbert offer personal council and will facilitate exchange and access to tools as well as liaison with local sources such as metal workshops, boat builders and sail makers. Residents will be taken on short sailing trips and other visits of interest around the area. Depending on the nature of the works and the weather conditions, we will be able to facilitate as exhibition sites: a local beach, sailing or motor boats, a boat wharf, a floating raft as a stage, the residency’s house back garden and a small car ferry that brings people over to the other side of the fjord amongst others.
