Program Description

Program runs Yearly in the Spring ART- POLI Japan invites artists of all levels to spend two weeks in Japan, painting, drawing, photographing, printmaking and learning woodblock on location. Study the art of Ukiyo-e. Learn about Japanese painting, prints and woodblocks. Other Japanese ancient and modern arts will be examined to explore the relationship of modern tattoos, irezumi and horimono symbolism. ART - POLI accompanies the famous Cherry Blossom Festival, a visit to Mt.Fuji and excursions to museums with art, drawing, photography, culinary classes, a Japanese tea ceremony fashion and dance shows.
