Program Description

The second volume will be held in Spoleto, an ancient city surrounded by hills in the region Umbria. Spoleto is recognised as a world heritage site by Unesco and renowned for the Festival dei Due Mondi, held every year during the summer, since 1958. The artists are invited to reside in the 14th century Franciscan hermitage of Santa Maria Maddalena, situated in Monteluco, a limestone mountain covered by woods. Volume 2 will be focusing on the theme of ‘THE GARDEN’. Selected artists are invited to work and research on nature and the elements that compose the hermitage’s garden.
