Eligibility
THE SAINSBURY SCHOLARSHIPS are exciting opportunities for exceptional early-career artists (with under ten years of professional experience), working with any media, to spend six months in Rome. Two Scholarships are available, one an open call and the other reserved for applicants from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Communities, which are currently under-represented at the BSR. Applicants must be: of British nationality, or have been working professionally (after having graduated) or studying at postgraduate level for at least the last five years in the UK (i.e. since September 2017).

Program Description
Duration: 6 months (January- June 2023) The Scholarship offers: ◼ a grant of £1,500 per month ◼ a travel grant of £500 ◼ a grant of £400 to assist with visa and transport of work costs ◼ board and accommodation in a residential studio at the BSR ◼ opportunities to collaborate with local artists and groups
