Drawing Research Residency + Exhibition in Paris

Eligibility
Open to professional artists working in all visual arts media and disciplines. Intermediate level of English is required to be able to understand and interact with others Artists will be selected on the quality of their residency application, and its relevance to current discourse about drawing. Applications are reviewed by a panel of international and Paris-based arts professionals.
Number of Participants
We are accepting up to 6 artists for joined residency in Caylus + Paris, and up to 6 other artists to join the group for the Paris part only. Please note, those artists joining for the Paris part only will be able to use studio space, and host an open studio event, but will not be included in the curated exhibition.

Program Description
Presented in partnership between L’AiR ARTS at FIAP PARIS and DRAWinternational, Caylus, France The invisible realm of possibility February 20 - April 12, 2019 This residency project will be two-fold: a full month of creative practice at DRAWinternational, located in a medieval town of Caylus, near Toulouse. Followed by two weeks in Paris with L'AiR Arts for contextual research and exploration, while exhibiting the work at FIAP Paris. Caylus, France with DRAWinternational: Drawing Research Action Works February 20 - March 29 (5 weeks) Paris, France with L’AIR ARTS at FIAP: Exploration, Reflection & Exhibition March 29 – April 12 (2 weeks) After a full month of creative practice and art production at the DRAWinternational Residency, artists will travel to Paris for a two-week program of research, exploration and reflection with L’AiR Arts, as well as exhibiting their work at FIAP Paris.
