Program Description

Wide Open Studios presents Gift Tide: Our first-ever East Coast trip will be a one-week Wide Open Studios course in the ecoregion of the White Mountains, Green Mountains, and Adirondacks. We will combine several days of backpacking and car camping with site visits to immersive permaculture projects. Visiting artists and land stewards will inform our experience about what it means to tend to a place. Deep listening will be at the heart of engaging in dialogue pertaining to regional ecology, cultural history, climate crisis, regenerative land practices and food systems. We will cook locally grown foods and hopefully harvest some ourselves. In a spirit of reciprocity, there will be hands-on integrative opportunities to collaborate on projects within the communities we visit, as well as support to focus on personal artistic response. Please see details via the APPLY NOW link.
