This residency is open to artists of the word: Poets, Spoken Word, Fiction/Non Fiction, Storytellers, Singers, Songwriters, Playwrights, Screenwriters.
Number of Participants
Open to single artists, artist couples, artists and their families, and even small collectives or troupes.

Program Description
With a possible Public Presentation at the Park, and a separate studio space in or near the Park. Vehicle required. Manta Ray Experience included. Possible public workshop to be given by the Resident in Volcano. The artist(s) will also have the opportunity to offer a public event at Volcano Art Center during their Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Artist in Residence term. IDEAL FOR ARTIST-TEACHERS! Possible Art donation through NPAF to NPS Collection at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park.Accommodations in a 3-bedroom, 3-bath house less than 30 miles away from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and close to our amazing Green and Black Sand Beaches.
