Eligibility

Heima is a multidisciplinary art residency for emerging and established artists located in Seyðisfjörður, East Iceland. In 2019 Heima will offer two 3 months residency periods, each involving six artist carefully curated. The program offers complete access to Heima’s facilities for ninety days. We encourage applications from Scandinavian and International contemporary artists working in a wide range of disciplines including visual art, film, arts writing, performance, sound and curating. We are open for applications for all phases - from initial research to finishing works.

Number of Participants

We are looking for 6 persons per residency period in 2019. We have two residency periods open as of now.

Program Description

The next residency periods, for which applications are open, are: Dates ------> 05.04.2019 - 30.06.2019 Dates ------> 01.08.2019 - 31.10.2019 All artist will live together and have access to multiple studio spaces + have their own bedroom. The residency fee is 250.000 ISK (2050 Euro). The residency fee is to be paid in advance and is non-refundable. Residents must provide for their own food, travel, and miscellaneous expenses.
