Program Description

ARTISTS in PARIS then & now Following on from a successful year of running “Atelier sur Seine” artist residency in the French countryside, we are excited to be able to offer an international group residency in the heart of the artistic centre of Paris, Montparnasse. The vision for the Paris program is to foster cultural exchange between artists from different countries while hosting them in the art capital of the world. This residency will not only give you the opportunity to explore Paris and have space to comfortably stay and work in, but will also give you an insider’s view into the important role that international artists have played in Paris from the late 19th century to the present day. Resident artists will visit historic artists studios, art academies, cafés and meeting places where the ideas that shaped modern art as we know it were formed. There will also be an opportunity to meet contemporary artists, curators and gallerists working in Paris today.
