Program Description

Live, work and engage with the local community of Red Hook, Brooklyn at our studio DE-CONSTRUKT. Share a beautiful spacious 2600 sq. ft. loft with beautiful skylights, a photography darkroom, art book library, wet sinks, and event space. Private fully-furnished bedrooms, one with a separate studio, with shared bathroom and kitchen. Accessible on-street parking and roof access with a view of Manhattan. We invite artists, photographers, musicians, filmmakers, writers, curators, and researchers to apply for 2019 residency opportunities. We provide a space to develop new ideas, create temporal work and encouragement to form new networks. All participants must make a public event in Red Hook, and/or work within the community. We will work with each resident to organize their event and will publicize it in our newsletter, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and our website. The residency timeframe is for Summer (July/Aug). Artists are required to stay at least 2 weeks.
