Program Description

The Darling Foundry, visual arts centre in Montreal, in partnership with FUTURA, center for contemporary art in Prague, is launching a pilot exchange program aiming to engage a dialogue between Canadian and Czech art scenes and foster mobility between Montreal and Prague. A call for applications is open for curators in visual arts who wish to do a 1-month research and prospection residency, in Montreal for Czech curators, in Prague for Canadians. The participants in this exchange are offered a unique opportunity to extend their knowledge of exceptionally dynamic art scenes, to promote artists from their country in return, and to further develop their professional network. The residency takes place in October 2019, in the context of the bustling fall cultural season, in Prague and in Montreal. Residents are provided with a personalized program of support and networking in order to make the most of their time in residency.
