Eligibility

AqTushetii is an artist colony and festival that fosters the arts, culture, history, and traditions of Tusheti while bringing together creatives from around the world to collaborate, work, and share knowledge. Individuals working in all disciplines are encouraged to apply. Each summer, AqTushetii hosts residents from various backgrounds: visual and sound artists, musicians, dancers, philosophers, writers, anthropologists, scientists and more. Next year the building will welcome residents from August 1 to October 31 2020. Residents are eligible to stay within the following periods*: [PERIOD 1]: August 1 to September 1, 2020 – price: 650euro total/all-inclusive [PERIOD 2]: September 1 to October 1, 2020 – price: 700euro total/all-inclusive [PERIOD 3]: October 1 to November 1, 2020 – price: 750euro total/all-inclusive *Please note that a one-month stay is prioritised, however, in some cases, two-week stays are also possible. Program Description

During their stay, each resident should make a presentation / exhibition / workshop on what they are researching/working on. A selection of artists and musicians will also have the opportunity to exhibit and perform live in our sister-spaces in Tbilisi. Artists are encouraged to contribute to the permanent collection/archive of the residency with their work if and when possible. Each month every resident will also enjoy and partake in Tushetian craft beer making, natural wine and cheese degustation, Tushetian whiskey distillation, local food [khinkali/khachapuri] making, and weekly live music concerts/events every Saturday evening.
