Eligibility

The call is addressed to candidates of Polish nationality. Representatives of various artistic fields are invited to apply: architecture (design, landscape architecture, urban planning), visual arts (including performance art), performing arts (stage design, dramatic texts, dramaturgy, musical theatre, performance, direction, drama, dance), design (fashion, costumes, product and furniture design, visual communication), literature (essay, criticism, poetry, prose, translation), music/sound (interpretation, sound installation, sound performance, composition), Time-based Media (including video installation, fiction and documentary) as well as web-based media (web development/coding, web design/animation, web art, digital journalism/storytelling with focus on arts and cultural communication).

Program Description

The Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art together with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, acting under its flagship brand Culture.pl, invite Polish candidates to an artistic residency at our partner institution the Akademie Schloss Solitude (Stuttgart, Germany) from October 2019 to December 2019. Selection The representatives of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Conetmporary Art will select six applications from among those sent in, and they will be presented to Akademie Schloss Solitude. The director of Akademie Schloss Solitude, Elke aus dem Moore, will make the final decision about which artist will be chosen for the residency. The decision will be published on the websites of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, www.iam.pl, and the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art, www.u-jazdowski.pl, by 30 June 2019.
