Eligibility

Please sent to cornioloartplatform@gmail.com an email title "Seme 2024 - name, surname". Please indicate: - in case of collective the name of partecipants (max2) - a pdf with a brief statment/cv, - the project or subject you would like develop in residence (max 1 A4), - a motivational letter - We provide basic food so please indicate if you have any allergies. We suggest to share meal together in a convivial informal way The Residencies are self-funded and self-directed. 2 weeks (13 nights) is 930 euro per person (included membership card, basic food from neighborhood farmers) - We don't provide travel costs or other personal needs. - Participants in particular non-EU are strongly recommend to have a travel and accident insurance

The residency program is for max 3/4 partecipants at time We offer - 2 large single or double room - 2 bathroom - 2 shared studio, 1 library, - a dance platform to performative training is on the suggestive open air - wifi ( we are rural so slow and meditative connection) Single artist (and partners), collective (max.2) are welcome. Corniolo Art Platform is based in the Villa “Il Corniolo” in Mucciano, a late 15th century building surrounded by a park with centuries-old trees, river and lake. 40 min. away from Florence and 1 h away from Bologna by car and train. Due the rural context of the residency even if the Borgo San Lorenzo village is just 4 km from the Villa we sincerely recommand a private transportation (car, moto, van).

Program Description

SEME is a 2 week residency on June This program is a studio retreat dedicated to those artists, writers, performer, that require a protected space in a friendly and magnificent context.  SEME offers space and peaceful time to work individually in a common residency open to share ideas. You are welcome to grown your practice and project in an uncontaminated place, to find the heart of concentration and inspiration. The 2 supply studios - a main room - the kitchen -the park and the common areas of the garden, the lemon house are shared. About the performative training you should consider that we offer an unconventional space in open air, in the park surrounded by seclar threes. We would like facilitate the relationship between participants and the local communities, farmers and artists. The residents are encouraged to offer a final talk to be dedicated to others artists and visitors.
