Program Description
Studio Faire is a contemporary art space in South West France, providing residencies for artists, writers, musicians and all other types of creative practitioner. The residency is based in a beautiful Maison de maître built around 1840 and still retaining its period characteristics. Situated in the market town of Nérac, in the stunning Lot-et-Garonne region, on the northern edge of Gascony, here you will find the ‘real’ unspoilt France. Medieval Villages are surrounded by green rolling hills that lead your eye to the horizon via fruit orchards and vines. The perfect place to slow down and focus. This particular residency is open to creative practitioners working in all clean media. The studio is situated on the ground floor. It’s a large room (575 x 517cm) and has the most stunning marble fireplace and polished wooden floor. It has two windows onto the front of the house and one glass door out onto the garden, so plenty of natural light from the North and East.
