Program Description
The Textile Arts Center seeks applicants for the 13th Cycle of TAC'S Artists in Residence (TAC AIR). TAC AIR is a nine month program that combines studio access with a rigorous interdisciplinary curriculum, regular critical dialogue and mentorship, providing residents an opportunity to learn and explore the textile medium, and an alternative to traditional higher education programs. The residency culminates in a group exhibition produced and hosted by TAC. TAC AIR Program Provides: - Individual studio space - 24-hour access to TAC studio and equipment - Technical classes in techniques including weaving, spinning, natural dyeing, machine knitting, and surface design - Lectures in textile history and professional development (e.g. grant writing, material sourcing) - Critiques and Mentorship with professional designers and fiber artists Learn more: https://textileartscenter.com/artist-opportunities/artist-in-residence/
