Eligibility

To be eligible for this residency you must be a New York State resident. Currently enrolled students are not eligible.

Number of Participants

Single artists are welcome to apply as well, an artist duo/team/group, can apply as a group. Please submit contact information and a resume for each person in the group. Please only submit one project proposal, and if you often work as a team then you only need to submit one artist statement to represent the group as well. For groups larger than two we may need to work out covering lodging, which we address on a case-by-case basis.

Program Description

This one-week workspace residency is in the IEA studio area for video and sound. The studio is an integrated system with real-time-video, image-processing software, hardware and video capture.  The studio has realtime video capture together with a live HD/4K video production Switcher/Mixer/Keyer. Contemporary systems include two Mac Pro workstations with a range of software including the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. Also available are three Panasonic 4K Cameras. The IEA studio has historical legacy video systems including the Sandin IP, the Dave Jones Design, Frame Buffer (B&W), the Fairlight CVI and two B&W cameras. The Audio in the studio includes an audio mixer and digital turntable and monitoring, an assortment of Eurorack modules. Residency artists also have additional scheduled access to video studios and sound studio with an array of Doepfer analog processing modules and surround sound capabilities.
