Eligibility
To be eligible for this residency you must be a New York State resident. Currently enrolled students are not eligible.
Number of Participants
Single artists are welcome to apply as well, an artist duo/team/group, can apply as a group. Please submit contact information and a resume for each person in the group. Please only submit one project proposal, and if you often work as a team then you only need to submit one artist statement to represent the group as well. For groups larger than two we may need to work out covering lodging, which we address on a case-by-case basis.

Program Description
The IEA’s Experimental Visual Arts Program, Project Residency is particularly looking for artists who want to experiment with Digital Printmedia technologies to further and expand their working practice. Artists will have access to state-of-the art digital arts facilities. Access will include a digital large-format printing facility, and facilities for the production of laser cutting, stone lithography, polymer plate – photo intaglio, wood block, fabric printing, bookbinding and silkscreen printing. We also have access to on-demand printing for book projects. The IEA lab has 3 Mac Pro workstations The ink jet printers are Canon models with a capacity of up to 60” wide, laser cutter’s capacity is up to 24×36″. The fabric printer is a 54″ Mimaki dye sublimation printer paired with a 44″ x 64″ heat press. Our Sterling Digibinder Plus perfect binder is capable of a maximum 12 1/2″ spine and 2″ thickness. Artists have access to a Canon EOS 5D IV and a Creo IQsmart3 large bed scanner.
