ArtHouse Jersey are developmental producers supporting artists of all disciplines to make exciting work that connects with audiences and communities across the Island of Jersey, in the Channel Islands, and internationally. Our role is to give artists the freedom to be bold and focus on the work that they most strive to make, providing key ingredients at an early stage to take their very best ideas forward. This may be time and space, introductions to potential collaborators, investment, mentoring, finding partners or developing wider projects. We tailor our work to the artist or project, but whatever our role we ensure that we do everything we can to realise the vision of the artists we work with. Our residencies, seed-funding and facilitated experiences provide opportunities for growth for artists both within our own shores and internationally.
Jersey is the largest of the Channel Islands, located near the coast of Normandy, France. Surrounded by sea, Jersey has some of the world’s largest tides, revealing hidden moonscape beaches at low tide. Jersey’s unique landscapes form small coves, vast beaches, rugged sand dunes, tiny country lanes and spectacular cliff path vistas. Come and explore our island playground where the rules need not apply. ArtHouse Jersey's offices are currently situated in a private property called Chateau Vermont in St Saviour, a rural parish in Jersey. We offer a continual residency scheme here, as well as unique facilitated residencies such as our annual 'Artist Lock In' residency in unusual locations in the wider island, such as historical buildings.
