About
Con Artist is an art collective, community, workspace & gallery. Our shared venue and studio hosts events, collaborative exhibitions, group projects, life drawing, and more! We are a platform for artists to network, gain exposure, and share skills and knowledge with one another. Joining the Con Artist Collective means becoming part of an active community of over 500 creatives from all walks of life, and all over the world. We've been featured by Vice, Hyperallergic, Forbes, CBS, New York Magazine, Whitehot Magazine, Decompoz, Interior Design, Widewalls, Dwell, Shameless Maya, 12oz Prophet, Metropolis, Miami New Times, The Daily Beast, Dwell, and more!
Local Information
We are located in the heart of The Lower East Side arts district. Founded in 2010, we are the longest continuously operating gallery in the now-booming neighbourhood. Since our inception in the basement of a hair salon, we've grown into a network of 500+ active creatives and expanded our shared studio to 3,000 square feet of shared space full of equipment. Close to major transportation hubs, 200+ commercial galleries, museums, and endless nightlife and dining options.
