Program Description

The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) is accepting applications for the NEA-funded Collateral Reparations: Artist Residencies for Military Veterans program. This fully-funded residency, three to five weeks in length, provides time and space to military veteran writers, visual artists, and composers, enabling them to bring forth works that inform, challenge and nourish our culture. The fellowship includes a $1,000 honorarium, a private bedroom, separate studio, and all meals provided in a community of more than 20 inspiring, passionate artists across many disciplines. As part of their residency, each Collateral Reparations Fellow will present their work at a community venue chosen by VCCA. The deadline for applications is September 15, 2019. This residency will be scheduled between February 1 and May 31, 2020.
