Program Description

The NSS Dexter Jones Award Residency at Chesterwood will be given to an emerging sculptor. The award is funded by an endowment in memory of Dexter Jones, past Fellow of National Sculpture Society. The sculptor’s residency will be at Chesterwood, the former summer home, studio and gardens of one of America’s foremost public sculptors, Daniel Chester French, located in Stockbridge, MA. The residency will begin on Monday, June 1 – June 30, 2020. The winning sculptor will live in the Meadowlark, formerly French’s second studio (now a cottage) and work in a building on the grounds.
