About
Founded in 2017 as part of a concerted effort to revitalize central western Vermont through the arts, 77Art believes that a strong community is one that cares about its culture and builds connections among its people. We believe that art is a catalyst for growth and that its transformative effects can have meaningful impact on concerns such as poverty, addiction, and mental health. We believe that cultural equity begets other equity and that providing opportunities for artists to work in Rutland will have lasting benefits for the visiting artists, the local community, and for the culture at large. 77Art hopes that by bringing artists together for a concentrated time in a new and emerging place, we can facilitate the flow of cultural production with far reaching implications.

77ART's campus is located in downtown Rutland Vermont, a small city nestled in the Killington valley of central Vermont.
