Stroll through the campus of the only National Historic Landmark in Greater Orlando, built in 1937, to discover working artist studios and Mayan Revival architecture -- including 200+ murals & sculptures. The five museums comprising Art & History Museums – Maitland feature countless opportunities to experience hands-on history and fine art exhibitions. The museums include: Maitland Art Center, Maitland Historical Museum, Telephone Museum, Waterhouse Residence Museum and Carpentry Shop Museum. Our mission is to foster an appreciation for art and history through immersive experiences that celebrate Maitland’s diverse cultural heritage and preserves the community’s legacy embodied in Jules André Smith’s Research Studio, our National Historic Landmark.
