Ayatana hosts week long research residencies designed to give artists as much exposure to a broad range of people working within a very specific topic that can be crammed into a week of adventure. Topics include: Biology/ecology Birds Sound & Wildlife Botany and plants Insects Water ecology and infrastructure Mushrooms Death Microbiology Evolution and genetics Geology Medical imaging Urban ecology

Local Information

The residency house is in a rural setting outside Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Residents spend there time on daily guided excursions into the city of Ottawa to visit University biology labs and into the Gatineau Park for nature walks.
