About
Carpintarias de São Lázaro is the new Cultural Center in the city of Lisbon with a contemporary program in Fine Arts, Music, Theatre, Dance, Cinema, and Gastronomy. Proposing integration through culture, this new space right in the city center crosses creativity with innovation and multidisciplinary to create an opportunity of bringing together people, communities and knowledge. With a privileged location, right in the historical city center, between two squares Martim Moniz and Campo Mártires da Pátria, Carpintarias de São Lázaro, is surrounded by great multicultural richness, which is also an important piece of the space’s strategy: allowing the interaction with the local community and cultural patrimony. Carpintarias de São Lázaro is a multi-faceted space 1. A cultural infrastructure 2. It develops partnerships and creation of synergies with other entities having in mind of how creativity and innovation can help creating opportunities to develop a fairer and more sustainable society
Local Information
The AiR Carpintarias / FLAD 2022 will take place in the Cultural Center Carpintarias de São Lázaro, with its very central location in the historical city center. From here, the artist can do everything by foot, or bicycle, as there are now a lot of (electric) bicycle stations in the city center. Also, there are the green and blue Metro lines with the nearest stations: Martim Moniz (GREEN, 5m by foot to CSL) and Restauradores (BLUE, 10 m by foot to CSL). The Center is close to the following neighborhoods: Martim Moniz, Mouraria, Colina Santana, Campo Mártires da Pátria, Graça, Baixa, just to name a few in the closer vicinity.
