CASTRO
About
CASTRO(Contemporary Art STudios ROma) is a unique multifunctional space and an artists in residence program in Rome for artists to work and interact with the community, a multifunctional space in Rome’s historical centre created to support young Italian and foreign artists, curators, and researchers. CASTRO will promote an experimental, versatile, and highly collaborative learning model for members as well as the local community. Our central ethos is based around collaboration and experimentation and our mission to host, support and foster art practices while encouraging a local interest in contemporary art through educational programming. CASTRO's programming is articulated on two parallel tracks, linked by a common theme, which varies each year. The first track is open to the public and the second only to the artists and curators working in studios at CASTRO
