Coral Projects
About
Commissioning local and international artists to make site-specific sustainable underwater artworks that support fish and coral repopulation in local communities, which are experiencing the death of reef life. Coral Projects is a non-profit art installation venture, highlighting and supporting the work of the Oracabessa Bay Fish Sanctuary. Coral Projects has three purposes: 1 — to create the first underwater Land Art exhibition. This sculpture park features emerging international artists using sustainable and eco-friendly materials permanently installed on the coral reef. 2 — to promote the Oracabessa Bay Fish Sanctuary’s progress in rebuilding the coral and fish populations while supporting the local community. 3 — to globally broadcast the successful model and milestones of OBFS and our model of contemporary art symbiotically living in our oceans.
