About

Creative Body Institute is an artist-run non-profit, tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to embodied creative practice, artistic exchange, and site-responsive research across disciplines—including performance, live art, visual art, creative writing, sound, movement, and ecosomatics. We believe the body is central to all art-making: a site of knowledge, transformation, memory, and imagination. Our programs include site-specific residencies, intensive courses, certificate programs, one-on-one and group mentoring, workshops, and curated gatherings. We also support artists through exhibitions and publications that share embodied research with broader publics. We are committed to nurturing sustainable, socially engaged, and environmentally conscious practices. Guided by curiosity, relationality, and care, we support artists in asking bold questions and developing work that meets the world with integrity and depth.
