About

CCC is an educational 501(c)3 that encourages creative interaction between people from around the world and their counterparts in Ghana where we have established a cultural center/guest house. Programs are centered around cultural exchange and understanding through the arts. We are in a fishing village and offer workshops with indigenous African artists - artist residencies - opportunities to work with local children - culturally significant tours and other activities that bring people together in a supportive and personal atmosphere.

Local Information

Nungua is a fishing village in a suburb of Accra, Ghana. We established our center there because it is home to many Ghanaian artists/craftspeople ,perhaps the most famous being the fantasy coffin makers. Goldsmiths settled in Nungua many years ago and their families still carry on traditional jewelry making. We have a kente weaver in our back yard and other traditional textile artists nearby. We wish to attract people who, rather than coming as tourists, want to interact with African creatives on a personal level.
