CultureHub LA
About
CultureHub is a center for art and technology that connects communities around the world. To date, CultureHub has linked audiences with over 500 artists from 30 countries through live performances, exhibitions, web-based presentations, livestreams, and education programs. Founded in a partnership with La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club in New York City and the Seoul Institute of the Arts in Korea, CultureHub presents a regular season of public programs including artist residencies and collaborative projects, engages in research and development of creative technology, and creates educational programming that serves hundreds of teens and young adults annually, engaging the next generation of artists and creators.
Local Information
As a networked space that uses the latest live web technologies to provide an open platform for artists and educators to collaborate on a global scale, CultureHub LA is a part of a network of studios that link Los Angeles, New York City, Italy, Indonesia, South Korea, and beyond. CultureHub LA is located in Downtown Los Angeles, as a resident of Maker City LA at The Reef, the convergent art center generating new methodologies for merging art, technology, science and education. The CultureHub LA studio is fully equipped with cutting-edge technologies and media tools.
