DE-CONSTRUKT [projekts] develops projects with local and international artists that support the cross-pollination of ideas and experimentation among culturally diverse artists and audiences. Artists have the opportunity to produce new works individually or collaboratively, with a focus on experimentation. We provide space to create temporal work and encourages the formation of new networks. Our interest is in the process rather than final outcomes. We serve to support new ideas and new ways of expression to share with the local community at large and abroad. DE-CONSTRUKT [projekts] is an artist-run event space, photography darkroom and artist residency with a focus on engaging with our local community of Red Hook in Brooklyn.

Local Information

Live, work and engage with the local community of Red Hook, Brooklyn at our studio DE-CONSTRUKT. We are located in a beautiful spacious 2600 sq. ft. loft with skylights, a photography darkroom, art book library, wet sinks, and event space. Our residency offers private fully-furnished bedrooms, one with a separate studio, with shared bathroom and kitchen. Studio rental for events, workshops and engagements, photography darkroom rental and monthly music and community dinner events. Accessible on-street parking and roof access with a view of Manhattan.
