About

GRACIA is a Guatemalan-owned and artist-run project established in 2019. Our mission is to promote a broader and engaging dialogue across countries, cultures, and research fields. We achieve this through residencies, creative education, and public programs, with a focus on cross-cultural exchange, artistic practice, and personal exploration.

Local Information

Antigua Guatemala — as a place, community and culture — lies at the heart of the residency. Antigua Guatemala is one of the largest tourist destinations in Guatemala. It has been declared as a UNESCO World Heritage site and used to be Guatemala’s capital before Guatemala City. In 2023, we opened La Casita, a house of creation and a gathering place to foster connection. La Casita hosts our residencies, educational, and public programs. It is a space that welcomes interdisciplinary artists, makers, and creatives from around the world, generating an international network in a sustainable environment.
