Greywood Arts
About
Greywood Arts is a welcoming multi-disciplinary artist’s residency in Killeagh, East Cork. Artists, creatives and academics in all disciplines can stay in self-catering accommodation and have access to workspace. We have a movement studio, a visual arts studio, space for writers, and a library with a piano for musicians, as well as a large dining/meeting room. We support interaction between visiting artists and the local community in the form of work-in-progress showings, demonstrations, readings, or concerts. These encounters should serve the artist’s process, while also exposing a rural village to a vast variety of art forms and art-making processes. We value being articulate and transparent about process; work that is compelling, vital, and timely; Risk taking, pushing boundaries, play, experimentation; collaborative and interdisciplinary work; work at all stages and inclusivity.
