"Crete Writing Residency" is located in the quiet rural suburb Marathitis in Heraklion, in Crete. The residency lasts for 12 days. All meals are provided along with daily trips and night escapes. The aim for this residency is to create a space where one will be totally undistracted and concentrated on his work while at the same time the new enviroment and new people will push him to look at his work from a new perspective. Lastly, the purpose of this residency is not only to allow creative space for writing (and drawing), but also to bring people together in a special way and therefore create a small artistic community.

In a ground floor 110 sq.m apartment surrounded by a huge garden with olive, lemon trees, and all kind of Mediterranean vegetation, with enormous glazed windows that offer a panoramic view of Heraklion and the Aegean, “Crete Writing Residency” opens its' doors to writers/scriptwriters from Greece and the rest of the world, offering an absolutely ideal space for writing and inspiration. The apartment is located in the rural suburb of Marathitis, 15minutes from Heraclion city, 15 min from various beaches and 10 min from the unique archeological site of Knossos.
