About

IVYnode is an innovative and contemporary art project, which aims to create an international platform with the collaboration of artists, researchers, performers, directors, writers, art critics, scientists and many other professionals willing to share their skills in a transdisciplinary environment based on interconnection, ispiration, desire to share and to learn. We work in urban context but mainly in local communities with the aim to bring art and knowledges in small villages that don’t have the possibility to access the variety of artistic stimuli that a big city offers. Through the organization of events, projects and exhibitions we aim to build a space where inhabitants of the small communities and "visitors" can learn from eachother creating an authentic cultural exchange.

Local Information

We have strong roots in Sardinia where we organize our annual International Art Residency program inviting artists and organizations with who we share the same interest and principles. Sardinia small villages have always been an important point of aggregation and socialization, but today, when youth have left to study and work in urban centres, many houses are empty and the old traditions and artisans knowledge are risking to disappear. This villages maintain anyway their authenticity, their beauty and their immense cultural heritage which can continue to live through interaction and exchange. Sardinia is known not only for its beautiful beaches but also for his territory rich in history and beautiful landscapes. the participants can visit archaeological settle, exploring the territory and connecting with the nature. If your art practice embraces community interaction, land art, sustainability or other models of art as social practice, this is the residency for you.
