Marin Museum of Contemporary Art connects art, community, and artistic expression. The Museum is a vibrant arts center located at Hamilton Field. We offer free contemporary art exhibitions that showcase local, national, and international artists, with new exhibits on view every six weeks. MarinMOCA is located at 500 Palm Drive at the historic Hamilton Field in Novato, California. The museum has a main gallery as well as the Ron Collins lobby gallery, a museum store, an education program, and artist studios. Over 55 artists have working studios in four buildings that provide an atmosphere of creative energy in which contemporary art flourishes.

Local Information

MarinMOCA is an independent non-profit, non-collecting contemporary art museum in Marin County, California. Located just 20 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge, it is a thriving gathering place for the local arts community. MarinMOCA offers exhibitions of contemporary emerging and established artists in five galleries, an Artist in Residence program, an Art Education program, 58 artist studios, and a museum store, making it an active and important presence in the greater metropolitan arts community. Novato is centrally located between San Francisco, Sonoma, and Napa, with easy access to public transit, bike and hiking trails, and parking.
