About
NEW INC is a cultural incubator exploring new ideas at the intersection of art, technology, and design. Operating as both a shared workspace and professional development program, NEW INC gives creative practitioners the tools they need to build sustainable practices and launch projects that impact, promote, and amplify culture. NEW INC aims to foster a creative ecosystem that generates cultural value, not just capital value. Members are an interdisciplinary cohort of artists, designers, technologists, futurists, and creative entrepreneurs chosen each year for their experience, vision, and ambition. Through panels, workshops, lunch lectures, office hours, and other programming, these Members work with experts and Mentors to glean invaluable guidance and support as they grow and launch their projects.
Local Information
An experimental initiative of the New Museum, NEW INC is a shared workspace and professional development program that brings together over 100 cultural practitioners and creative entrepreneurs, including anchor tenants Rhizome and Columbia University’s GSAPP Incubator. The operation occupies eight thousand square feet of dedicated office, workshop, social, and presentation space, and each year selects an outstanding interdisciplinary community of one hundred members who are investigating new ideas and developing sustainable practices.
