About
Oficinas do Convento, founded in 1996, is a cultural non-profit association and a UNESCO Centre, with its headquarters in Convento de S. Francisco, Montemor-o-Novo, Portugal. Since the beginning, Oficinas do Convento operates in the Arts field, with a clear concern on rethinking the conditions of the place, to convert it into a cultural value to the city inhabitants.The approach to the cultural agents and local artists allowed Oficinas do Convento to expand its scope of action and is structured around the founding objectives of the Association: Publicity, Promotion, Production and Training in technologies related to contemporary art.
