Penumbra Foundation is a non profit organization that brings together the Art and Science of Photography through education, research, outreach, public programs and residencies. Its goal is to be a comprehensive resource for photographers at any level, artists, students, professionals, historians, researchers, conservators and curators.
Local Information
We are located in the heart of New York City. Our offices and center on East 30th street, are just around the corner from where the famous 291 Gallery created by Alfred Stieglitz was housed.
