About
Temp Studio is a place of encounter and critical exchange for new media artists. A one-week residency program thats happens twice a year providing a production and networking space for national and international artists. Our goals and mission: Challenge artists in creating a global platform with which to exchange ideas and experiences; Encourage experimentation and cross-disciplinary practices as a means of personal and collective growth; Provide a test ground and critical exchange platform for artists and thinkers whose work engages with technology; Enable audiences to experience and value the process by placing it at the centre of practice; Break down the boundaries between creative processing and developing technologies; Gain a deeper insight into the challenges and opportunities of networking or collaborating with other artists; Provide a place for artistic experimentation, research, and reflection.
Local Information
Temp Studio is a collaborative project, co-created and organised by a group of Lisbon-based artists who have built a local community of partners to help this project come to life. For each edition we find a partner-host who welcomes our temporary studio.
