The Residency Project

About
The Residency Project (TRP) provides time and space in support of creative research, artistic experimentation, and arts-based community engagement with an emphasis on creating opportunities for practitioners who are traditionally underrepresented in the arts—women, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists, artists with disabilities, and parents—as well as artists who give consideration to the environmental impact of their work and who actively pursue sustainable practices. At TRP, I awoke each morning feeling lucky. I felt so welcomed and supported, and that encouragement contributed to the proliferation of my work while here. TRP fed and inspired me with its generous mission--not just artistically, but in the possibilities of fostering community. The gorgeous craftsman bungalow is within walking distance to all kinds of amenities. Lots to do in Pasadena! Note: bedrooms share a bathroom with the other resident; the studio is a shared studio; it's a lively neighbourhood. This was a truly fulfilling residency, run by generous and kind people!
