ABOUT ZARYA ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAM ZARYA Artist-in-Residence program based on ZARYA Center for Contemporary Art in Vladivostok is a project aimed at provision of support to professionals in the field of contemporary art that welcomes artists, curators and researchers regardless of their preferred genres and techniques, as well as age and nationality. ZARYA A-i-R offers an opportunity to live and work in the new environment and conditions conductive to intensive work that provide a chance for successful implementation of creativity projects. ZARYA A-i-R program is primarily focused on analysis and development of local environment. One of its tasks is establishment of a dialogue with both dedicated professionals and wide audience. Local Information

Zarya Center is a non-profit institution that seeks to promote the achievements of contemporary culture in Russia and beyond, while supporting local emerging artists in Vladivostok. The center is designed to serve as an independent platform for the development of creative ideas on the local level, through a productive dialogue with leading international professionals in the fields of contemporary art, design, architecture, cinematography, literature, theater, music and new media. The Zarya Center for Contemporary Art operates under the banner of experimental methods of interaction between artists and audience – as demonstrated in performances, public workshops, interactive installations, art-therapy sessions, work-in-progress projects – all aimed at encouraging the audience to take an active role, while simultaneously stimulating the next generation of artists in their quest to find for their own styles and format within the context of the international art world.
