Zone d’Utopie Temporaire (Z.U.T.) is a nomadic annual residency which addresses the notion of Utopia as a vehicle for artistic and critical comment. The residency stands as a social and creative experiment whereby a group of artists work together during four weeks to create a Temporary Utopian Zone. Accompanied by theorists through both structured conferences and more informal discussions, artists reflect upon central Utopian themes and create site-specific works inspired by this cultural exchange. The residency results in an exhibition presenting the outcome of this artistic collaboration.
