Program Description

The City of Dubuque (Iowa) is now soliciting sculpture proposals for consideration for the 2027-28 Art on the River public art sculpture exhibit, to be held along the Mississippi Riverwalk in the Port of Dubuque from August 2027 through August 2028. The theme for the 2027-28 exhibit is "TRIBUTARIES" Artists are invited to explore “Tributaries”, the relationship between the individual and the whole, between where we come from and where we are going, and between the many forces that shape a place over time. Artists are encouraged to consider the ways individual paths converge, diverge, and shape something greater than themselves, inviting visitors to slow down, reflect, and engage more deeply with the landscape and with one another.
