Program Description
The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) is accepting applications for the Anne Spencer Fellowship, to be awarded for a residency in 2020. The Anne Spencer Fellowship is a fully-funded one-month residency that includes a private bedroom, individual studio, and all meals provided in a community of more than 20 other artists. The fellowship also includes a $1,500 honorarium for travel and expenses. The Fellowship rotates annually between the genres served at VCCA and this year will be awarded to a visual artist. As part of their residency, each Anne Spencer Fellow will engage with the Anne Spencer Memorial Foundation Inc., in Lynchburg, VA.
