Eligibility

We are looking for international visual artists, researchers and curators that work with ephemeral art, site specific live actions, interventions, installations, performance, sound art, photography, video, research projects, sculpture, drawing, and painting, as well as other contemporary art mediums. Artists will be chosen by our selection committee. This residency seeks artists undergoing field research, developing their sense of personal expression, and exploring their relationship with the land through different mediums: painting, drawing, specific site live actions, interventions, installations, photography, sculpture, ceramics, as well as other contemporary art mediums. We strive to stimulate critical thought and the exchange of ideas through the coexistence of these mediums. In keeping with the history of the region, we propose that residents approach and produce visual works that manifest themselves around and thus enhance the value of the theme of TERRITO

Number of Participants

Between 6 and 10 artists. The number of residents change in each edition. Note that we also receive applications to October edition specially for international artist who need more time for grants an organization. We will provide invitation letters. If you are interested in this dates send your application and mention your preferences in the motivation letter.

Program Description

PROGRAM 1st. Stage EPECUEN , Buenos Aires Research and work in site (8 days) Artists are called to put together and follow a specific schedule to work on their projects. This will be complemented with instances of exchange, reflection, and debate for the development of artistic work and the enrichment of critical thought. We will visit the ruins of Epecuen town, the withe woods, Salamone slaughterhouse, the lake, historical museum, Carhue town and the countryside. The works cant modify the historical sites. 2nd. Stage SAN ISIDRO, Buenos Aires Production and exhibition ( 6 days). In this stage we will work together in the materialization of the researches made in Epecuen in order to exhibit in a pop up event in the gallery. The artist are invited to use Ambos Mundos as a studio an exhibition venue, we will provide a curatorial follow up and special needs to show the work in progress to the community.
