Eligibility

We are seeking applications from artist-run initiatives - i.e. artist-led exhibition spaces, artist collectives, online festivals, independent art publications, podcasts, artistic research groups, and any other collaborative projects with public programming. Artists may apply on behalf of initiatives they run, rather than on an individual basis.

Number of Participants

Juxtapose Art Fair showcases artist-run initiatives, rather than individual artists. This means that there is a great deal of flexibility regarding the number of artists who can apply to participate in connection with any specific initiative.

Program Description

Juxtapose Art Fair is a new, non-commercial fair that aims to showcase and celebrate the diversity of the artist-run sector. The fair will present a juxtaposition of different initiatives from Denmark and abroad that are led and organized by visual artists. By bringing these initiatives together in one space, to be viewed side-by-side, the fair aims to highlight the unique profile of each project. We invite you to propose a project that best represents your initiative’s unique profile. Projects can be in any media, including performative, interactive, and temporal artworks and activities. What could you show, or do, or make at the fair, that would most effectively communicate your initiative’s core mission? Selected initiatives will be exhibited in Godsbanen’s Rå Hal, a former freight train garage. Think outside the booth - how could you best utilize this space to showcase your initiative?
