Program Description

Kala Yatra invites applications for its concept-driven, community-engaged artist residency program in Kathmandu, Nepal. Rooted in socially relevant practice and cross-cultural dialogue, Kala Yatra is a not-for-profit, artist-run collective offering space for reflection, experimentation, and transformation across disciplines. What residents receive: • Flexible self-funded residencies (2 weeks–1+ month) • Private self-catering accommodation with shared spaces • Opportunities for exhibitions, open studios, talks, or non-productive reflection • Access to a diverse, supportive art community • Possibility of reduced fees for SAARC artists • Open to visual artists, writers, performers, curators, filmmakers, architects, musicians & more Residency Fee Structure: € 200 (two weeks / 14 Days) € 400 (a month/ 30 Days) € 300 (a month/ 30 Days - for SAARC Artist)* *We offer promotional or reduced residency fee exclusively to artists who are both residents and citizens of SAARC countries (Afghanistan
